Drusy Princess Pin-Slide

Drusy-Princess-Pin-Slide.jpg

Aren't we "special".... This pin/slide is constructed from cast and fabricated elements in sterling silver and 14k gold and accented with tube bezel set amethyst, peridot and blue topaz.  The rainbow obsidian stone naturally had a drusy section which was enhanced with a dichroic coating over the crystals. The Drusy Princess pin can be worn on a chain or perhaps a strand of pearls.  PRICE: $395.00

A good example of how drusy forms in pockets of hollow stones. The host stone featured in this piece is blue lace agate. The sterling silver wires are soldered together. Accent stones of amethyst and blue topaz play off the color of the drusy. Price: $245.00

The Opal Collection

Ruthie likes to get lost in multi-colored Australian Boulder Opal and Mexican Fire Opal. She only utilizes solid opal material in her jewelry designs; she is not willing to compromise by using doublets or triplets. Once you view this collection, you will understand Ruthie’s love affair with opals.

Intarsia-Sunrise-pin-slide-.jpg

Intarsia & Cameo Collection

Intarsia can be defined as marquetry in stone instead of wood. Various stones are epoxied together to form a picture or abstract design, and then polished as one slice. The Italian cameo designs are carved from shell, the intaglio pieces in cherry amber are carved from the back of the stones or contemporary cameo designs are carved from agate in Germany. Ruthie uses all these stone choices to create rings, earrings, pendants, pin/slides, cufflinks and tuxedo studs.
